Trinidad Lasagna Recipe | Taste of Trini

Hey guys, here's my simple Trini-style lasagna recipe. This is not authentic by any means. Here's what you will need to recreate the recipe:

2.6 lbs ground turkey
1 box (9oz) oven-ready lasagna
1 baigan/eggplant peeled and cut into small chunks
1 hot pepper, chopped
2 carrots, sliced
1 stalk of celery, chopped
1 red onion, diced
2 heads of garlic,minced
1/4 cup of Italian flat-leaf parsley
2 cans of water chestnut
2 basil leaves
2 sweet peppers cut into chunks
1/2 cup of green seasoning
1 lb Trini cheese (New Zealand Cheddar)
8 oz Mozarella cheese
2 cups of button mushrooms, sliced
2 cans of tomato sauce + water to get the excess out
Italian seasoning
olive oil
salt
black pepper
pepper sauce


Cover the tray with foil and bake for 30 minutes at 350F. Take foil off and bake for an additional 10 minutes.

Are you looking For Easy Chocolate Cake Recipe? There are so many variations that it might be difficult to choose a single recipe.

Here's a simple one to get you started along with several variations to suit the occasion.

Ingredients For Easy Chocolate Cake Recipe :

1½ cup (192 grams) flour
1 cup (201 grams) sugar
½ teaspoon (7 grams) salt
1 teaspoon (2 grams) baking soda
3 tablespoons (43 grams) cocoa
1 tablespoon (15 milliliters) vinegar
6 tablespoons (90 milliliters) oil
1 teaspoon (5 milliliters) vanilla extract
1 cup (200 milliliters) water
2 eggs

Tips For Easy Chocolate Cake Recipe :

•Use half or double the amount of ingredients for a smaller or larger cake, respectively.
•Consider adding some edible decorations like chocolate chips, cream flowers or beads, etc.
•If eggs are being used, whip the yolks and fold them in first and then whip the whites and fold them in in the end.
•Don't cut the cake or even try to remove it from the baking pan unless it has been cooled for minimum of 5 minutes. Preferably, leave it to cool completely. Only cut or try to remove it from the baking pan before it is completely if there is a big issue with time or if your cake is supposed to be served warm.
•Want to know if your cake is baked? Put a toothpick in the center.
•If you want a softer cake, add more baking powder.
•Try baking the cake at a slightly lower temperature to make it light and spongy. You will need to cook it a little longer, though.
•You can use milk instead of water. [citation needed]
•Some people are vegetarians and do not eat eggs, so you will need to prepare Eggless cakes for them. Many people even don’t like having sour cream or butter. So what you can do is have some substitutes in place of the eggs like rice flour. However if you use rice flour, be prepared for the cake batter to remain thin.

DOLE® Pineapple Empanadas | Appetizers | Simple Recipes

Ingredients:

¼ cup sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
16 oz. DOLE® crushed pineapple, drained
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon lemon juice
3 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 pkg. (15oz) refrigerated pie crust
1 beaten egg

Step 1: Stir together sugar and cornstarch in medium saucepan. Add pineapple, butter and lemon juice. Cook, stirring, until thickened and clear. Cool.

Step 2: Stir cream cheese into pineapple mixture.

Step 3: Roll out pie crust. Cut out 4-inch rounds. Repeat with remaining crust.

Step 4: Lightly brush beaten egg on outer edges of pastry. Spoon 1 heaping tablespoon pineapple mixture on one half of each round. Fold pastry over. Press with fingers, carefully sealing in filling. Press edges with fork. Repeat with remaining pastry rounds and filling.

Step 5: Cut 2 to 3 slits on top of each empanada. Lightly brush tops with egg. Place empanadas on baking sheets lightly sprayed with nonstick cooking spray.

Step 6: Bake at 400ºF 15 to 18 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with Tropical Fruit Lime Salsa.

1.Using both a chilled bowl and beaters, beat the cream until frothy.
2.in a stand mixer fitted with the wired whip blade, whip the cream at high speed till you get stiff peaks in the cream. Whip until light and a thick enough consistency to spread as an icing.
you can also use a hand held electric beater to whip the cream.
3] the cream should have stiff peaks – meaning on turning the bowl the cream should not fall down.
4].Use immediately or use within a day only by keeping in refrigerator.

use vanilla cake recipe as the base cake.
for the pineapple strawberry butterscotch chocolate blackforest cream cake frosting & assembling.
1] finely chop 2 to 3 pineapple strawberry butterscotch chocolate blackforest slices and keep aside.
2]slice the cake with a serrated knife from the center carefully into three equal halves.
3] brush the base slice of the cake with some pineapple strawberry juice.
4] mix the finely chopped pineapple strawberry with ¼ or ? of the cream
5] spread the pineapple strawberry cream frosting on the base slice evenly..
6] keep the other cake half over do the same for above layers.
7] now spread the remaining whipped cream all over the cake on the top as well as the sides, with a palette knife or spatula evenly.
8] decorate the cake with a few more pineapple strawberry slices.
9] keep the cake in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 hours so that the cream icing sets.
10] remove the cake and decorate the cake with the fresh pineapple slices.
11] serve the pineapple strawberry butterscotch chocolate blackforest cream cake immediately.
or you can keep it covered in the fridge and then serve later.
12] its advisable to finish this pineapple cream cake within a day or two.
13] you can use different colour gel edible gel specially use for fresh cream cake to make multi colour cake.
14] make the fresh cream flowers as shown in the video make the leaves and put some garnishing of chocolate as shown in the video.
