How to make pie crust from scratch~ simple and delicious recipe

This homeade pie crust recipe is an old one passed down from my husband's side of the family. It can be used for sweet dishes, such as a cherry pie, or savory dishes such as chicken pot pie. It is simple and delicious and not at all complicated. Let me know if you love it as much as I do!

Pie Crust from Scratch

4 cups flour
2 cups softened shortening
1 Tbls sugar
1 Tbls vinegar
1 egg

Cut softenedvshortening into flour using a pastry cutter or other utensil until pea sized crumbles are formed.

Add sugar, vinegar and egg into a measuring cup and fill with water until you reach 1 cup.

Add to flour and shortening mixture and combine until the dough forms.

Makes 4 single pie crusts, plus a little extra.
